And the source of love that we put into every shoe, every bag, and every accessory we make.\r\n\r\nOur founder, Mr. B, was the son of a shoe merchant and the grandson of a cobbler, and he believed in more than just selling shoes. His eponymous shoe line debuted on 6-foot store shelves in 1972. In 1978, Aldo's first stand-alone store opened its doors in Montreal, a city he fell in love with. Since then, he has always been determined to create a new kind of business.
